Enough About You, Let's Talk About Me

No, that's not my mission statement, nor is it a Bette Midler quote. It's a throwaway line from today's Song/Video of the Week, 'Magnetic Heart,' by the über-gay, hyper-campy entity known as Boogaloo Stu. It's a boppy but chunky fast 80s groove tune.

Stu is a London-based 'multi-tasker' whose activities include 'Nightclub disc-jockey, bawdy gameshow host, multi dimensional comic visionary, apparel designer, raconteur and radio presenter, cartoonist, illustrator, ballroom dancer, singer/songwriter and producer'! How could I ever resist him?

Since I'm in Brazil as you read these words, this SOTW is an experiment in pre-posting and long-distance-triggered-mailings.

If, as I expect, it works well, that's what I'll do Mondays for my upcoming two-week. vacation in Central America, August 6-22.
