My unsuccessful attempt to surreptitiously photograph the set design, which transformed the theater into a junior high school auditorium.
A second such attempt, even less successful, but arguably more artistic...

As we left the theater, cast members sold autographed merchandise to raise money for 'Broadway Cares,' an umbrella of AIDS-related charities. Pictured here, left, is the actor who played the stuffy vice-principal in the play.
Indeed, the theater's lower level did somewhat resemble a high school gym locker room.
