Aware of Nature In The City?

What I liked about beach houses and/or the country was being constantly aware of nature. It's all too easy in the city to be oblivious to it, it's the blur rushing in and out of home, the office, the restaurant, the store... So I looked up at the moon on the way home Wednesday.

I used the zoom lens, but the moon is 239,000-odd miles away... It was about 6:45pm, after sunset (6:17pm), right after civil twilight (6:42pm). The moon is waxing to first quarter, the day is 11 hours long, bust visible light is 12 hours..

Quotes of the Day:

"Cheney and Obama related? Do you realize Dick Cheney now has more blacks and gays in his own family than in the entire Republican Party?" - Jay Leno

"The mayor of New York City – what’s the guy? — Mayor Bloomberger is planting one million trees in New York City. And after that, he’s going to bring in a bird." - David Letterman
