Blink & You'll Miss It
I'm flying home from Argentina tonight after a brief conference appearance. This is among my favorite buildings in Buenos Aires, a lovely melange of old and new... I stayed at the beautiful, stately, and venerable Alvear Palace. Andres and I had a lovely, sumptuous meal at La Bourgogne, the hotel's award-winning French restaurant.
Avenida Corrientes, the Broadway of Buenos Aires... (to the point where indie theater productions are referred to as 'off-Corrientes') I've seen many shows here and discussed them over wine and steak, or coffee, depending on the hour and the mood. That's the obelisk in the background, where Corrientes meets the world's widest avenue, 9 de Julio.
