Happy Birthday, Doug!
and a big Happy Birthday to my friend Doug, across the water in Primrose Hill, the green patch of North Central London he calls home. Doug and I go back over 12 years - we both worked for a long stretch at the 800 lb gorilla that is JPMorgan Chase & predecessors, and we spent many long intense hours together both in the office and on the road. Doug is one of the few people I've spent time with on four continents, thanks to business trips in Europe & Latin America and a memorable vacation in Thailand. Here's Doug, at left, on Easter Sunday in London with our friend David... Underneath, a drawing by Dan Perjovschi, the Romanian artist whose wall drawings Doug & I admired at MOMA last Sunday. I'll post more work by Perjovschi tomorrow and again on Friday...
