What Can We Learn?

Two weeks ago my nephew visited Washington DC and Philadelphia with the Close Up foundation, a non-profit group dedicated to teaching young people - first hand - about responsible and informed participation in the democratic process. Day 2: Why did Americans create a government in which citizens are so important?
Day 3: What are the rights and responsibilities of citizens in a democracy?
Day 4: What are the rights and responsibilities of citizens in a time of crisis?
