Dear Abbey
Happy Easter from London Town, where my friend David has now lived for six months without a pilgrimage to Westminister Abbey, described by some as the soul of all that is British!
I've paid my respects on many a London visit, and the abbey reminds me of Winston Churchill's description of Russia 'a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma.' It is many museums in one, each embedded in the next.
Ever see Woody Allen's "Bananas"? In a courtroom scene, he complains to the judge that the proceedings are 'a travesty of a mockery of a sham' : - )
