Momentous day. The conference is going well, and my bond deal closed successfully. But that's not why it's momentous. As of today, I have spent exactly three years of my life outside the United States. I did this with only one short stint working and living abroad, in Argentina for 7 months. Most of the rest are from 94 different foreign trips, about 70% business and 30% vacation.
Many meetings have been disturbed by embarrassing musical ring tones. I find these sudden sonic symphonies very jolting and distracting in a work context. A plain old ring was just fine for me..
