Memories of Mexico
On a rainy Mexico City afternoon we took shelter in a little restaurant - this was the snack menu - Pozole is a chili-like white hominy stew with pork, chile, cilantro, avocado and lime.
I chose 'Birria,' a spicy goat or lamb stew from Jalisco served on special occasions. In some areas iguana meat is used. In Spain, the term birria can mean 'jalopy' or 'useless piece of junk'
