110 - 23 - 36 - 62 - 70 - hike !
I'm flying to Brazil tonight for a week-longbusiness trip, returning next Sunday, November 18. If I only kept better track of frequent flyer miles, I'd have enough for a lunar landing (eat your heart out, Lance Bass...), but probably in coach.. :- ) Can you believe this will be my 110th foreign trip... This calls for a large volley of meaningless travel statistics!
This will be my 23rd trip to Brazil, my second-most-visited country after Mexico, which I've visited 26 times. That will make 36 trips total to South America, and 62 to Latin America (the difference being Mexico, as I've never been to Central America). If George Orwell's 1984 were true, none of these trips would be foreign, since the entire Western Hemisphere was part of the superpower 'Oceania.'
Finally, this will be my 70th business trip, and my 22nd working for ABN, though technically this area of ABN is in transition to being owned by RBS. I logged 48 business trips for my previous employer, JPMorganChase and its predecessors (its existence is the result of many, many mergers), of which 1 for MHT, 12 for Chemical, 23 for Chase, and 12 for JPMorganChase.
