Noir et Blanc


Brilliant photographer QT Luong, who has photographed all our national parks and much of the world in glowing color, has begun to capture Europe in ye olde black and white. I like these pictures of Belgium. QT's work can be seen at TerraGalleria - or, even easier, it's on my link menu, to the left of the screen, as 'Earth on Film'

The well-preserved medieval town of Bruges filters out any modern patina with a good black and white shot:


And the heart of Brussels - The centuries-old Grande Place - has a lovely mid-20th-century perspective here


Bruxellois icon Mannekin Pis - the peeing statues - is always a pleasure to behold. Last month I introduced you to his Czech cousins, with their monumental dueling pee-off, on to a map of the Czech Republic, in front of the Kafka Museum...
