Two Heads Are Better Than One
Particularly if one of them belongs to Carson Kressley. Ever determined to learn something about clothes and dressing at my advanced age, I invested in the audiobook version of Carson's 'Off The Cuff: The Essential Style Guide for Men and the Women Who Love Them.' In this case, it's Queer Eye for the Queer Guy, as the women who love me are basically my Mom and sister. But, I need to learn wardrobe like I learned cooking - I went from clueless to competent after a friend observed that 'you have to learn the rules before you can break them. Wish me luck - today is a largely free day I can use to begin shopping smartly.. Couldn't hurt my career prospects, either. I think I'll start with some dress shoes for my slightly unusual feet, at Eneslow, the Foot Comfort Center...You'll recall I did run into Carson Kressley a few years back filming Queer Eye at Brooks Brothers..
Last night I had some friends over. I served gourmet chicken, salads, and grains from Whole Foods, and Fernando and Sunil supplied some sinfully sweet Praline Pecan soy ice cream...
This Friday I'm off to spend four days with my family in Arizona!
